Setting up Favorites in HRS

Overview

In HRS, the term, "favorites" is a list of bookmarks to transaction pages that you use frequently (or infrequently). Once you add a favorite, it appears under the My Favorites folder. After a favorite is added, you can make changes to it from the My Favorites, Edit Favorites menu option. Within the Edit Favorites menu, you can rename a favorite, delete a favorite or modify the sequence in which favorites appear on your main Menu.

Process Considerations:

  • HRS will resort your list of Favorites based on the frequency you visit the pages.  More frequently visited Favorites will move to the top of your Favorites list while those used less frequently will fall to the bottom of the list.

Instructions

  1. Navigate to the page you want to set up as a favorite by clicking on the navigation icon found on the upper right side of your screen.

  2. Once you have navigated to the page you want to set up as a favorite, click on the more (three dot) icon in the upper right corner of your screen and click on Add to Favorites.

  3. A pop up box will appear allowing you to give a unique name for your favorite or you can accept the suggested name.  We will use the suggested in our example.

  4. A second pop up box will appear saying your favorite has been saved.  Click OK to continue.

  5. HRS will also keep track of the most recent places you have visited in the system.  To view these, click on the Recent Places in the Navigation menu.

Deleting a Favorite

  1. To delete a favorite, click on the Favorites hyperlink located at the upper left side of your screen.

  2. Click on the Edit Favorites hyperlink.

  3. Check the box for the favorite you wish to delete and click the Save button.

  4. A pop up box will appear asking you to acknowledge the deletion of the favorite.  Click OK to continue.
  5. The favorite will drop off the Edit screen list.  Click the Save button once more to finalize your change.

Changing a Favorite

  1. To change a favorite, click on the Navigation icon located at the upper right side of your screen.
  2. Click on the Edit Favorites hyperlink.

  3. Your list of favorites will be displayed in order.  To change the order in which your favorites appear, change the zeros next to each favorite and renumber them in the order you want them to appear.  Then click save. Edit Menu
  4. If you want to rename a favorite, simply type in the new name in the name field of your favorite and click save.
