Adding a OneNote Notebook to your Teams Site

Instructions on how to add a OneNote Notebook to your Teams site.

Instructions

  1. Navigate to the Teams site where you'd like to add a notebook.


  2. Open the channel you'd like to add the notebook to. The default channel is called General but you can add a notebook to any Teams channel


  3. At the top of your screen next to the other channel tabs, select the + icon

  4. Select the OneNote icon

  5. A search window will appear with any Notebooks found. Select the notebook you'd like to set up (in most cases this will be labeled as Default Team Notebookor you can select Create New Notebook to create a new notebook

  6. Click Save

The notebook will be added to the channel's tab menu. 

Note: You can click the drop down arrow to the right of the notebook to rename it, if needed.
