Merging Edge Browser Data With Account


Clients migrating from the to the tenant will need to take these steps to merge their Edge data with their new account.

Process Considerations:

  • This process should only be done once IT has confirmed that your account has been migrated.

  1. After your account has been migrated, open the Edge browser

  2. In the upper left, click the circular person or picture icon to open the account drop down

  3. Click the gear icon, this will open a settings tab

  4. To the right of your account name, click Sign Out

  5. An additional sign out dialog will open. Do not check the box, only click Sign Out
     Warning Sign Image  Do not check the box, doing so will cause you to lose all Edge browser data

  6. Select your new account from the drop down then click Sign In

  7. An additional dialog will open prompting you to merge data. Select Merge My Data then click OK

    You're now done merging data into your new account!
