Setup multiple monitors

Overview:

This is a general overview of monitor settings you can change.

Process Considerations:

  • Your display settings will change if your laptop is connected to a dock.
  • While connected to a dock it will change if your laptop lid is open.

How to access display settings

You can right click anywhere on your background and click on 'Display settings' from the list.

Identifying displays

From the Display settings window, you can click on 'Identify' to check what monitor you are manipulating.

Rearrange displays

You can then move the monitors into whatever position suits you. The placement of the boxes represents your real world monitor locations. You can make minor adjustments to allow for seamless pointer travel.

Display layout and additional settings

After highlighting a monitor from above, you can scroll down and change settings on the selected. Help Desk recommends you keep the display resolution at 1920 x 1080

You can also change which monitor is the Main Display. This will change what monitor your desktop shortcuts reside on.
