Send An Email As A Different Account or User
Overview:
How to use the "send as" feature to send an email from a different account.Process Considerations:
- "Send As" permissions need to be granted before you will be able to send out of an email account. Sending without permission will result in an email bounce-back referencing insufficinet permissions.
- Contact the Help Desk to request "send as" permissions
Instructions
- With the message you'd like to send open, select Options > From to make the From field visible
- Click the From button to access the drop down menu
- If the email you want to send from is not there, select Other Email Address...
- If you know the full email address, you can type it here. If not, click From
- Use the search box to search the global address list for the email you'd like to use
- Once found, select the email address then click OK
- You should now see the email address in the Send From dialog. Click OK
- Now continue sending your email as usual
If you receive a bounce-back message stating you have insufficient permissions, please contact the Help Desk with the email address you'd like send-as permissions added for.
