Process Considerations:

• Must have the Info Maker application installed.

Instructions

1. Right-click on the database profile that you want to update – Select ‘Properties’ – window will open
   
   

2. Select the connection, if not selected, click ‘Edit’

3. Window will open
   
   
   
   

4. Profile Name can be set to any value – this is a description field for your use
   
   
5. Update your username/password as desired
   
   
6. For UWSA employees – Update the Server to - UWSPRD.doit.wisc.edu
   1. For Non-UWSA employees – set this to whatever value is set in your campus TNS file for this database
      
      
7. Example:
   
   

8. The connection details should look like this with your own username and password.

   Click ‘Apply’ and ‘OK’.  The connection is ready to be used.

9. If you attempt to connect and get an error message such as ‘Please connect for the 1^st time using System tables.’  You can adjust your connection settings to get past this error message.

    Menu – Tools -> Preferences
   
   

10. We need to uncheck the box for ‘Use Extended Attributes’ and check the box ‘Read only’
    
    

11. Click ‘Apply’ and click ‘OK’

12. Attempt to connect again.
